AD482 Course (3 days)
What is it about?
The course’s theoretical and practical content is based on Red Hat AMQ Streams 1.8 and Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4.6. Technologies that enable event-driven applications, such as Apache Kafka and Red Hat AMQ Streams, are playing an increasingly important role in modern enterprise architectures and environments. The course introduces application developers to the use of these technologies in enterprise environments; in addition to theoretical background, students deepen their knowledge through practical exercises, including application development using the Kafka Streams API, application integration with Kafka Connect, and data change logging with Debizium.
Who is this course recommended for?
We recommend this course primarily to application developers who already have experience in microservices development.
Prerequisite for starting the course:
The training is not tied to any specific degree, but a degree in computer science (at the high school or college level) may be an advantage. It is advantageous if the student is familiar with Red Hat OpenShift technology or has previously completed the DO378 – Developing Red Hat Cloud-Native Microservices with Quarkus course.
Planned topics for the course
- Fundamentals of Event-Driven Application Design
- Introduction to Kafka and AMQ Streams, creating simple (message send/receive) applications
- Building Applications Using the Streams API – Exploring the Capabilities of the Streams API Through Practical Examples
- Creating asynchronous services using event collaboration patterns
- Data Integration Using Kafka Connect – Using Kafka Connect and Debezium to Connect Data-Driven Systems and Manage Data Changes
