CL110 Course (5 days)
What is it about?
The Red Hat OpenStack Administration I: Core Operations for Domain Operators (CL110) course teaches you how to operate and manage a production Red Hat OpenStack Platform (RHOSP)-based, single-site cloud environment, as well as how to create secure project environments in which resources can be provisioned and managed with the necessary security permissions for cloud users to deploy scalable cloud applications. Course participants will learn about OpenShift’s integration with load balancers, identity management, monitoring, proxies, and storage. In this course, you will also acquire additional troubleshooting and day-two operations skills. This course is based on Red Hat OpenStack Platform version 16.1.
Who is this course recommended for?
System administrators responsible for operating OpenStack-based private clouds; domain operators who manage projects and user quotas; and IT professionals who wish to gain hands-on experience with cloud computing in a Red Hat environment.
Prerequisite for starting the course:
The training does not require a specific educational background, but a degree in computer science (at the high school or college level) is advantageous. Prerequisites for the course include RHCSA certification or equivalent knowledge, basic networking skills (IP addressing, routing, firewalls), and a fundamental understanding of virtualization technologies.

- Launching instances for various use cases.
- Managing domains, projects, users, roles, and quotas in a multi-user environment.
- Managing networks, subnets, routers, and floating IP addresses.
- Managing the security of copies using group policies and access keys.
- Creating and managing block, object, and shared storage within OpenStack.
- Customizing instance startup using cloud-init.
- Deploying scalable applications using stack templates.
