VENDOR'S TRAINING AND EXAMS

Manufacturer training and certification: The key to authentic knowledge and market success
In the IT sector, knowledge is the only real currency, but its source matters. At ULX, we consider it our mission to ensure that our customers not only "use" technology, but become masters of it. That is why we decided 25 years ago not to settle for the general IT training courses commonly available on the market, but to become official training centers for the manufacturers we represent, such as Red Hat and EnterpriseDB, making the teaching methods, knowledge, and curriculum they have developed available to our customers as well.
Why choose official manufacturer training instead of "normal" training courses?
Many people ask: what is the difference between a YouTube tutorial, a general Linux course, and official Red Hat training? The answer lies in the structure, the verified and certified knowledge, and the direct connection to the manufacturer.
1. Directly from the source
The official training materials are compiled by the manufacturers themselves, i.e., the software developers and engineers. When a student takes a course at ULX, they are not learning the personal opinions or unique methods of an instructor, but rather the best practices designed by the manufacturer for complex software or platforms.
2. Validated, up-to-date lab environments
One of the greatest values of formal education is the practical laboratory. These are not simple virtual machines: they are cloud-based or local dedicated environments provided by the manufacturer that accurately simulate real-life situations (incidents) and tasks that occur in companies. Students do not type "blindly" here; the tasks are structured in such a way as to illuminate even the deepest connections.
3. Certified and experienced instructors
At ULX, training is provided by professionals who have themselves undergone the manufacturer's rigorous certification process. Not only do they have in-depth knowledge of the technology, but their methodology also meets the manufacturer's expectations. In addition, the instructors are actively involved in various implementation projects and support the solutions we deliver, ensuring that their product and technology knowledge is always up to date.

Manufacturer certification: More than just a piece of paper
After completing a number of courses, we ensure that students take exams to test their knowledge in the given field. For example, obtaining the Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) title is not only a recognition, but also a ticket to the global IT elite.
What does certification mean for professionals?
Professional resumes often contain impressive-sounding phrases, but manufacturer certification is the only one backed by an independent, rigorous, and practice-oriented exam. This is not a test with multiple-choice questions; Red Hat exams, for example, are purely performance-based, requiring candidates to solve real problems on a live system within a given time.
A certified professional knows exactly what they are doing and why. This means fewer mistakes, faster troubleshooting, and more confident decision-making in their daily work.
Statistics show that officially certified professionals have significantly higher salaries and better job prospects than their peers. Headhunters and HR professionals use these certifications as a primary filter during the selection process.
Why is this important for employers and the market?
For companies, having certified employees is a strategic advantage. They can be sure that critical systems are being managed by professionals who have proven knowledge of technological limitations and possibilities.
In many cases, high-level manufacturer support agreements (SLAs) require the local operations team to have the appropriate level of certification. The difference between a "trained" and a "certified" professional can be measured in terms of downtime and optimization capabilities. A well-trained engineer can prevent errors that a layman-configured system would only detect too late.
Training at ULX
At ULX, training means much more than just "cramming" the curriculum based on manufacturer topics. Our instructors are also implementation engineers who participate in Hungary's most exciting IT projects. This duality makes the knowledge gained at our institution unique: we supplement the official textbook material with experience and best practices gained in the environment of large domestic companies.
What students get from us:
-
Official, legally compliant teaching materials (in digital form) compiled and verified by the manufacturers represented, and continuously updated.
-
A modern educational environment at Budapest Infopark, one of Hungary's IT hubs. Of course, in line with today's expectations, we also offer hybrid education with remote (online) participation options.
-
Exam preparation and administration (classroom or individual, with kiosk-based exam options).
-
Professional community and direct contact with domestic representatives of manufacturers.
