DO188 Course (3 days)
What is it about?
This course introduces students to the world of containers, teaching them how to create, run, and manage containers using Podman and Red Hat OpenShift technology. Through hands-on exercises, the training helps students acquire the fundamental knowledge needed to develop containerized applications. Students will be able to apply the knowledge gained in this course in any OpenShift environment, whether running on-premises or in the cloud. The course is based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 9, Podman version 5, and OpenShift Container Platform version 4.18; students will encounter these software versions in both the theoretical background and the practical exercises.
Who is this course recommended for?
We recommend this course to developers, platform operators, and Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) who are new to containerization and the world of containers but would like to learn more about them.
Prerequisite for starting the course:
The training program has no specific educational requirements, but a degree in computer science (at the high school or college level) is an advantage. It is strongly recommended that applicants have a basic understanding of Linux and be able to use the Linux command line (terminal, shell). It is also helpful if the student understands the structure of web applications and is familiar with the most important technologies related to them.
