DO288 Course (4 days)
What is it about?
In the course “DO288 – Red Hat OpenShift Development II: Creating and Deploying Cloud-Based Applications in an OpenShift Environment,” students will learn about the design, creation, and deployment of container-based software applications in OpenShift cluster environments, as well as the capabilities and features provided by OpenShift for both migrating existing applications and creating container-native applications—knowledge they can effectively and efficiently apply to their daily work. The knowledge gained in this course is equally applicable to on-premises OpenShift implementations and OpenShift implementations running in the AWS (ROSA) or Azure (ARO) cloud. The course is based on the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4.18 software product; the examples and lab exercises presented are based on this software version.
Who is this course recommended for?
We recommend this course primarily to enterprise software developers and software architects who have already encountered or will encounter OpenShift technology in their work, or who have previously learned the fundamentals of containerization (such as Docker) and container orchestration (such as Kubernetes), and have practical experience in this field that they wish to apply in a Red Hat OpenShift environment.
Prerequisite for starting the course:
The course has no specific educational prerequisites, but a degree in computer science (at the high school or college level) may be advantageous; as well as RHCSA certification or equivalent knowledge; in addition, it is helpful if prospective students have previously completed the DO188 – Red Hat OpenShift Developer I: Introduction to Containerization Using Podman.
Planned topics for the course
