DO457 Course (4 days)

What is it about?

The "DO457 – Network Automation with Red Hat Ansible" course provides infrastructure automation professionals—who primarily work with network devices and and for whom knowledge of a software tool that can automate their frequent, repetitive tasks is essential. The course uses the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform to demonstrate how the software platform assists in the remote automation of network device configuration, testing and validating current network states, performing compliance checks, and detecting and resolving configuration discrepancies. The DO457 course provides students with the necessary foundation to earn the “Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Network Automation” certification upon successful completion of the EX457 exam, as well as to participate in further Ansible Automation training, such as the “AU374 – Developing Automations Using the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.” The course is based on Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform version 2.3.

Who is this course recommended for?

We recommend this course to network administrators, professionals responsible for network and infrastructure operations and the automation of these systems who would like to learn how to apply and use Ansible technology in enterprise environments as part of their daily tasks—such as the administration, installation, configuration, and management of network infrastructures.

Prerequisite for starting the course:

This training is not tied to any specific degree, but a degree in computer science (at the secondary or higher education level) may be an advantage. To successfully complete the course, it is strongly recommended that you have completed the “RH124 – Red Hat System Administration I” course or possess equivalent knowledge, as well as experience in network administration. Additionally, it is recommended that students have a solid understanding of TCP/IP technology and be familiar with the management of routers and managed switches. It is important that students be able to manage network devices via a command-line interface and, if possible, be familiar with one or more of the following vendor solutions: Cisco IOS, IOS XR, or NX-OS; Juniper JUNOS; or Arista EOS.
