What is it about?

The DO328 – Building Flexible Microservices with Istio and Red Hat OpenShift Service Mesh course is an introductory training program on Red Hat OpenShift Service Mesh technology, introduces students to the deployment of Red Hat OpenShift Service Mesh, service monitoring, and the operation of flexible and secure services enabled by the technology, which simplifies the management of communication between services, ensures traceability, and visually displays communication paths. The curriculum is based on Red Hat OpenShift Service Mesh 3.1 and Red Hat OpenShift 4.18.

Who is this course recommended for?

We recommend this course to developers and platform engineers who work in a Red Hat OpenShift environment and are involved in—or interested in—creating, deploying, and managing applications built on secure microservices.

Prerequisite for starting the course:

The training program has no specific educational requirements, but a degree in computer science (at the high school or college level) may be advantageous. However, a degree and/or practical experience in the field of IT is definitely useful, and it is recommended that students complete the following courses beforehand: DO180 – Red Hat OpenShift Administration I: Operating Production Clusters, DO288 – Red Hat OpenShift Development II: Creating and Deploying Cloud-Based Applications in an OpenShift Environment, and DO378 – Red Hat Cloud-Native Microservices Development with Quarkus, or possess theoretical and practical experience equivalent to the content of these courses.
