CL210 Course (4 days)

What is it about?

During this training, participants will learn how to manage, monitor, troubleshoot, and scale the Red Hat OpenStack Platform infrastructure. The course focuses on using the OpenStack Client command-line interface to configure metrics, policies, and architecture, thereby supporting enterprise cloud applications and day-to-day operations. This course is based on Red Hat OpenStack 16.1 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.2.

Who is this course recommended for?

Cloud operators responsible for day-to-day operations and automation, as well as infrastructure architects interested in large-scale private or hybrid clouds, or those responsible for maintaining them.

Prerequisite for starting the course:

The training does not require a specific educational background, but a degree in computer science (at the secondary or higher education level) is preferred; holding the RHCE or Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation certification or equivalent knowledge; and completion of the CL110 – Red Hat OpenStack Administration I: Basic Operations for Domain Administrators course or equivalent experience.

  • Managing the containerization technology of Overcloud services.
  • Providing metrics for performance tuning and management.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting network traffic in Open Virtual Networking (OVN).
  • Configuring the Identity service using an external Red Hat IdM repository.
  • Management of the central control plane, including Pacemaker.
  • Customizing images for various use cases using optimized techniques.
  • Management of block- and object-based storage back-ends.
  • Management of compute nodes, including fine-tuning and hyperconverged solutions.
  • Troubleshooting the Red Hat OpenStack Platform.
